Ja: Afrikaan - yes.
One of the things that I have noticed is that white South Africans like to say the word Ja. In fact some of them seem to say it at the start, middle and end of sentences. Women especially seem to like saying the word and it got me to wondering if its because they use it when making love.
So picture a typical South African bedroom scene. The man is doing a bit of bareback riding and his good woman is yelling out:
Oh God JA! Oh God JA!
JA! JA!
JA! JA!
JA! JA!
JA! JA!
JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
Makes ja think.

Ja, indeed. More bad news on the Man City front: They lost 3 - 2 at home to Liverpool on Sunday 5th October. Scorers: Ireland and Garrido. Torres (2) and Kuyt.
To make matters worse, City were two up.
